DESCRIPTION:Easter Monday – Easter Family Treasure Hunt – Fun at Greenan Maze \nOne of the most anticipated events on our calendar is our Easter Family Treasure Hunt\, which takes place all over the farm. Children (and grown-ups!) can stroll through the winding pathways and try find the middle of the maze.  There’s something magical about seeing little explorers work together to find and then crack the clues and solve the riddles and celebrate each discovery with a cheer. \nYou might even spot the Easter Bunny hopping madly about the maze giving spot prizes of Easter Eggs and special chocolate treats and meeting children for special family photos.  You can also feed the baby farm animals with our farmers who need your help with feeding the lambs and the piglets\, as well as horses\, donkey\, hens and ducks. \nOur Easter Family Treasure Hunts are designed to be both fun and family-friendly\, with clues tucked away in unexpected places all over the farm. SUMMARY:The InHand Forum
DESCRIPTION:Greenan Maze\, Rathdrum Co. Wicklow will host The InHand Forum from 19th to 21st September 2025. This weekend of immersive workshops and talks will bring together international experts\, passionate learners and the community to research\, rekindle and rethink our ancient heritage craft skills. \nWorkshops in blacksmithing & silversmithing\, bronze-casting\, iron-smelting\, stone-carving and dry-stone wall building will run alongside field trials in the crafts and public talks by local and national experts and historians. \nThe 3-day ‘think-in’ is co-ordinated by artist and model-maker Robert Clarke\, sculptor & bronze casting tutor (N.C.A.D.) Ciaran Patterson and silversmith Eva Lynch\, who are keen to encourage both the sharing of knowledge and the re-imagining of these ancient practices. \n“We aspire to create a forum that attracts and hosts leading international professionals and to provide a dynamic space for the cross-fertilization of ancient knowledge and skills. We want to create for our attendees\, tutors and lecturers\, the appropriate environment to debate\, experiment\, learn and advance the knowledge in these fields.” \nGreenan Maze will host these events with onsite weekend camping\, campervan parking\, shepherds huts\, coffee shop and catering. The nature farm also includes two museums showcasing hill farming in rural Ireland\, a bottle museum\, two mazes\, woodland nature walks and ponds\, and 25 acres of rewilded land rich in biodiversity as well farm animals and ample picnic spaces and parking. \nLocated only 15 minutes from Glendalough and 10 minutes from Rathdrum (with daily trains to Dublin).
