Primary School Tours:

We have been hosting school tours for nearly 15 years and have very experienced and friendly tour guides. A school tour at Greenan Farm Museums & Maze includes an educational, active and full day outing which includes elements of heritage and local history, nature and environmental activities, and age specific tours. We believe in giving a high quality tour and therefore only host two groups per day. Tours can last from 2 ½ to 4 hours depending on your requirements.

Attractions:

» Celtic Maze: large hedge maze, very exciting, kids love it!

» Museums: guided tours of 3 fascinating museums; Old farm life, Traditional farmhouse and unusual Bottle museum.

» Wild Nature Walk and Dragonfly Ponds: tranquil nature reserve with raised walkway, ponds, woodlands and wildlife.

» Farm Animals: pigs, horses, donkeys, lambs, chicks and more.

» Field Games: welly boot throwing, wheelbarrow relays, sack racing and sheep bowling!

We also provide undercover lunch tables and free tea/coffee and snacks for teachers.

We are delighted to cater to your schools specific needs and you can mix and match the activities to your special requirements.

Special Events & Corporate Outings:

We are an ideal venue for corporate outings. We have hosted fun day events for many companies and organisations including bbq’s, maze races, treasure hunts. We can cater tours and events to your companies specific and personal requirements. All it takes is a bit of imagination and creativity!

We also cater for a broad range of specialised tours and events such as: Coach Tours, Heritage Tours, Staff Parties, Guided Tours, Vintage Car Rally's, Motor-bike Rally’s etc.

Greenan Farm Museums and Maze, as seen on BBC and RTE television, is available as a film location and can provide original props if required. Our maze featured in the movie “The Actors” with Michael Caine and we have hosted several professional magazine shoots.

Eco-Tours:

Our Eco-Tours are centred around the sustainable and environmental practices of the farm. Our small scale farm is managed in an extremely environmentally-aware manner with many organic practices. Nature conservation is a major priority with us. We have been operating with these ideals since the mid 1980’s so our this experience make us an excellent choice for Eco and Environmental Tours.

We are also attempting to formulate and implement a Sustainable Tourism Policy in association with Sustainable Tourism Ireland.
