April 10th – Keeping Hens & Poultry – Fiona Crowe
Full day work-shop for beginners and seasoned hen-keepers alike. Keeping Hens in an urban environment also covered. Fiona Crowe from Highdell Organic Farm has been keeping poultry for nearly 40
years. Take a walk around the farm and get up close with our broad range of pure breed
hens and even learn how handle a hen. A fun course with lots of practical advice.
April 17th – Bee Keeping – Stewart McGrane
Full day workshop with Stewart McGrane of Irish Royal Jelly Co. and Bee-Keeper
for 50 years. Ever considered keeping bees, well come along and find out what it entails. Stewart has been giving talks, workshops and courses to professional bee-keepers
for years and we are lucky enough to have him here for us beginners too.
April 24th – Basket Making* – Renate Bradbury
A work-shop for beginners with Renate Bradbury from Camphill Community,
Ballymoney, who has been teaching basket making for 25 years and assures us
that we will go home with a hand-made basket made by very own selves!
