The
bottle museum was established in 1985 and
holds a very large collection of antique 19th and early 20th century
irish bottles, jars and vessels, some of which were excavated on
the farm.
Specimens include cobalt blue castor oil bottles,
round-bottomed mineral water bottles and chemist bottles.
There are also whiskey and brandy bottles from the late 1800's,
complete with original contents, but not for public consumption!
The oldest bottle in this impressive collection dates from 1807.
